Kauai Kayak Rentals is a kayak rental company located in Wailua, on the East Side of Kauai. We specialize in renting highest quality kayaks and equipment to Wailua River and Secret Falls.

Kauai's Wailua River is a special place. The only navigable river in the state, the Wailua was once the home of ancient Hawaiian royalty. Today it is an adventurer's playground, snaking through waterfalls, a lava rock grotto and lush jungle forests. The river itself is wide and tranquil
You'll kayak for 5 miles along the Wailua River, hike for about a mile on a newly-installed boardwalk for a much more pleasant and easy experience, until you reach the 100-foot waterfall called Secret Falls where you'll enjoy swimming in the pool, take pictures, have snacks and remember how beautiful life is. The river has no current for the most pleasurable kayaking experience. You will most likely get wet and muddy on your hike. The entire trip takes 4-5 hours.
We will provide what you will need to load the kayaks onto your vehicle. Pretty much any vehicle will work , you don’t need any special racks. Even convertibles! The marina is 2 minutes away and the setup is simple!
We will meet you at the shop location at the agreed upon time to go over orientation and safety, answer any questions you might have and make sure you’re all set for the trip. Then we will help you load the kayaks onto your car (it’s an easy set up, even though it might seem intimidating) and you’ll be on your way to the marina (2 min away). Your trip will take 4- 5 hours. When you are finished , you will load the kayaks back on your car and drive back to return the kayaks to us. It’s that simple ! But the adventure is oh so amazing !
Please bring plenty of water, water shoes or hiking shoes, towel, hat, sunscreen, and wear swim suit underneath comfortable clothing. You’ll be all set to go!
